Why the name Fat Les?
Keith and Damien explained that the name is not
after 'Fat Lesbians' nor 'Fat Les Ferdinand', it is
however 'The Fat Sound you get from a Gibson Les
Paul'
I don't believe that!
surely that's not the right
reason for the name.
Correct. Fat Les is a term for the stereotypical
English Football Fan. Fat, Loud, smelly, rude, and
likes a good old take away.
Why Vindaloo?
Why not.
Who's idea was all
this?
None other than Alex James. He made up the tune
and it went from there
Why Doesn't Alex James
ever appear with
Damien Hirst and Keith Allen?
Alex is not allowed to promote the single, which
includes not performing on stage. This is Something
to do with contracts he has signed with Food records.
A few people weren't very happy when he decided to
form another band called 'me me me' and release a
single called 'Hanging Around'.
What's on the vindaloo
video?
The video is a parody of The Verve's 'Bittersweet
Symphony' video. It has Dennis Pennis dressed up
as Richard Ashcroft walking down the same road
as featured in Bitersweet Symphony. He is followed
by Keith Allen, Harry Enfield Characters, George
Dawes and many more.
