Damon and Graham to remix Angel
Massive Attack have revealed that their next single, 'Angel', has been remixed by Blur's Damon Albarn and Graham Coxon. The collaboration with singer Damon Albarn and guitarist Graham Coxon, which will be out on July 13, marks the first time an Albarn remix has been commercially released. He worked in the studio with Tricky two years ago but the results were never issued because the pair had a falling out. The Blur remix is the main B-side of the single, which also contains remixes from The Mad Professor. The original version of 'Angel' appears on Massive Attack's 'Mezzanine' album. A spokesperson for Blur says: "They were approached by Massive Attack to do it three weeks ago and they were pretty thrilled about it to say the least. They're big fans. Massive Attack are apparently pleased with the results, too."
