Where has coping gone?

Coping: Personal - Off Topic: Where has coping gone?
By th on Wednesday, November 21, 2001 - 11:51 pm:

Am I at the right message board? Is this coping? I'm suddenly not sure, I don't recognise anyone. Where are all the old regular posters who had something to say, be it interesting, humourous or just irrelavent.

ahhhh - we're all tired. well maybe that's just me. i think as blur declines, the coping board declines also. they're going back in the studio soon - maybe there will be a revival on coping. otherwise we will have to change it to the gorillaz board.

Yeah, Luke said he wasn't adverse to a rival Coping Gallery. I sort of wearily tried to start one, but is there any point these days?

And will the Copers on Luke's gallery mind being added to *mine*?

Scamp, I might send you a recent pic later!

By lukas on Saturday, November 24, 2001 - 09:22 am:

But you didn't send *me* a recent picture, did you?!?

By Coping's Most Loathed Daughter on Sunday, November 25, 2001 - 03:15 pm:

Haw haw. I like some of the captions you write under everyone's pix, Scampy. Especially the ones for Occifer and Paige.

As for "where Coping went" ... there I will not go. Or should I adopt a Dylan Thomas~esque attitude, like "Do not go gentle into that good night"? Nah. I've turned over a nu leaf.
From my doleful prison in Claremont, this 25th November,

Lôôkas, I might send you a recent pic later too.

By Scamp on Monday, November 26, 2001 - 10:56 am:

Thanks Karla. My email address is oliver1pet@hotmail.com.

Just about everyone is *up* there now. I hope noone objects to their captions.

I'm currently wearing a cheesy bandanna to cover up the fucked haircut I got about nine hours ago. It's like a feral version of Fran Healy's hairdo... and it makes me look like a tosser. The worst part, as I was telling Buttergal, is that it's going to take ages to grow out!

By indigo on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 - 08:03 pm:

Maybe shave your head? Although I'm trying to imagine what it would look like from your description - pretty interesting I would imagine. How did you ask for it?!?

By Toupee Tape on Tuesday, November 27, 2001 - 11:23 pm:

Have you finally asked to that hairdresser to go freestyle with yer head, Quint? hahaboomboom
A mohican's not as good as a mullet, that's for sure!

By Arresting Occifer on Wednesday, November 28, 2001 - 12:52 am:

I told her I wanted a "fucked up haircut" and asked for suggestions... I suppose a large proportion of the blame for this monstrosity lays squarely on my own shoulders! I've decided to give it a week before I make the decision to shave it right off or not. I've never fancied having a buzz cut.
Everyone else I know seems to like it though. It's odd. I think I look like a bulldog.
Anyhow, I'm off to the beach. I just need to find a pair of clean socks and I'll be ready.

By The Occifer on Sunday, December 2, 2001 - 03:28 pm:

I've got to admit that my haircut has grown on me. Well, yeah, literally as well as figuratively. Literally it's probably grown about 2 millimetres, but figuratively it's grown on me far more! I dig it now & just thought I should let you know. Hur hur.

By indigo on Sunday, December 2, 2001 - 10:35 pm:

yay! post a picture! you can't keep teasing us with vague descriptions....

By Butter~Mobile on Monday, December 3, 2001 - 08:32 am:

I know in my heart of hearts that Arresting Occifer's new haircut is a delight, and many a gal will contrive to be the target of an impromptu arrest.

Indigo, are you on either of the Coping Galleries? I'm just curious, since I recall you mentioning it and referring to everyone by the collective "we", which implied you too were there, yet I can't see your name mentioned on either Burrage's or Maslen's.

By indigo on Monday, December 3, 2001 - 04:42 pm:

No... unfortunately the only photos I've ever posted have been a tiny one of me obscurewd by some of my friends, and one of me aged about 5 with my little sisters. If you're very lucky, I may just find another one this weekend!

By chut on Thursday, December 6, 2001 - 07:28 pm:

I like the Freddie Lyunberg style. Uniuform length hair, with a mohican, characterised only by its colour, not that it's longer than the rest of his hair. Did I mention it's purple?

By indigo on Friday, December 7, 2001 - 01:52 pm:

I don't understand... ah, no, i think i can visualise it.. yeah, that sounds cool.

By Oom Papa! on Monday, December 10, 2001 - 09:22 am:

I think they should have re-released Ding Dong instead of My Sweet Lord in honour of George Harrison. He was a top lad.

By Carly on Monday, December 10, 2001 - 01:14 pm:

i dunno.... some of his fans may have been offended by the ring out the old, ring in the new thing, y'know.

I would have gone for All Things Must Pass. Touching and optomistic...... or even Here Comes The Sun.....

Jai Guru Dev, George, wherever you may be....
