Si or Jo? U out there?! Thinking of going to Brighton next week for a few days and wondered if ya could inform me of all the best pubs and clubs there?pleeeeeease?!Any indie/cheap or just plain cheesy places are welcome!

Cheers in advance

Brill, here's a couple of places:

The Event in West Street.
Best nights are Tuesday and Thursday's. Cheap drinks and entrance. Indie and dance/pop
mixture. Quite cheesy but good fun.

The Gloucester by London Road.
Best nights are Fridays. DJ play indie type
music all night, he also does requests.
Sometimes alot of Blur is played. Saturday's
are okay too, but not as good. indie mixed
with pop.

The Hobgoblin pub, just along from The Gloucester.
Plays indie/alternative music, good atmosphere.

I hope these are okay for starters. Hope you
have a good time and let us know how you
get on :o)

Yeah, what she said.. also, the Gloucester on Tuesdays is Goth night.. loads of uni students and stuff there then.. and Wednesday is a big mix night.. 60's to 00's, and that night it's FREE entry! And the Hobgoblin has a quiz night on Mondays.. that's quite fun.
Let me know where you're staying and I'll drop your CD around.. lol

Ah, The Event! The Gloucester! The Hobgoblin! Such memories!
Should be home in one week. Might have to pay a visit to a few of those Brighton drinking establishments...

Hahaha, Ad, I'm sure they'll be happy to have you back...unless the rumours are true and you really *have* gone all hippy on us...hahaha

By blurlover on Friday, September 22, 2000 - 12:58 pm:

I've never been in Brighton. is it nice there?
my mum said so.

By pantsy on Friday, September 22, 2000 - 05:16 pm:

*yay* Adsy :o)
I'll inform Brighton and we'll have abig party for you!

By Ad on Saturday, September 23, 2000 - 06:34 am:

Excellent (in a monty burns stylee). Going hippy again - yeah I'm afraid so. Spending our time hanging out on Haight-Ashbury in the heart of san francisco. Hell, I even bought a pair of blue jeans today. Mid life crisis or sumfin. Or maybe the prospect of being effectively unemployed and homeless as soon as I step off the plane on Friday. I can't even remember what all my friends and family look like anymore. And I know they ain't gonna recognise me either what with the whole skate punk/indie kid/flower child/world traveller crossover image I got goin on. Should be a laff though eh.

Hahaha, Ad, you've lost it. Good luck. Hahah
