I'm interested in this band because the drummer, Jason Schwarztman is max fischer from rushmore, one of my very favourate movies. how cool is that movie? and the royal tenenbaums.

i heard "california" their single, and they say california too much i've decided, but i hope their not too kitschy.. has anybody else heard some stuff about them?

Phantom Planet are an ace band! I had 5th row tickets not to long ago to see 'em with Incubus but Incubus cancelled due to the lack of ticket sales (argh!)which is pretty stupid so I exchanged my tickets for the Vans Warped Tour. "Do(ing?) The Panic" is an awesome song if you can get a hold of it! These boys are hot too!

Phantom Planet hosted the Wedge this last Friday (God bless Sook Yin in whatever she's doing now, the dear - but I like how bands get to host 'cos we get to see more into them). Well, Jason and Alex. Alex is SUCH a cutie (so's Avril Lavigne *ahem* - yes, 'cos image IS separate from personality, but all in all, who cares?). They played the "California" video, it was enjoyable. Still not a fan of the song, but the singer's voice sounds like that of The Carnations' a bit, so 'twas a nice realization.

Okay, that was a crap update.
