You're welcome, Indigo - nice to see our little game of tag is back up again! I came home earlier than I had expected to last night because we were all tired, but I felt like I HAD to stay awake, and there was nothing to do (I don't have cable t.v.), so ....... I'm just a big nerd after all.

You're not a fully fledged computer nerd until you find yourself doubleclicking the TV remote.

Actually, I've noticed that I some times say "btw" or "brb" in real life conversations. Is there any hope for me ?
By Cam on Monday, September 24, 2001 - 03:47 pm: |
I've been finding myself saying LOL in a convo, *IRL*...that's terrible!
By indigo on Monday, September 24, 2001 - 04:25 pm: |
Ummm.. only if you silently write LOL on a bit of paper and hand it to the person.
Why would you say BRB or BTW anyway? It's just as quick and easier to say "be right back" or "by the way".

I know, I know....I'm not proud of my recently acquired habit.

I've heard someone say "lol" when they found something funny... I thought it was quite amusing but was ashamed to speak to them again.

I find myself double clicking the television remote whenever I use one but I don't view this as a sign that I'm a computer nerd. I take it as a sign that I've not had a TV in any house I've lived in since I was 3 years old, until last year at uni. Therefor I've used a computer many more times than a TV so I find using a double click my primary response to a button under my finger.

It could as well have been a sign that you need to change the remote's battery...that's the only time I've been double clicking mine...
