Coping: Blur general: Blur friends

Just curious, are your friends Blur fans (such as I would presume you to be)?

Mine aren't.

It's a shame.

Hey, you're my name on msn! Hehe... Anyway... I've got ONE sort-of friend who likes Blur. He's a bit of an arsehole to most of my other mates though, so we never talk much. Sob.

I have one friend who likes almost exactly the same music as me, including Blur, who i talk to all the time, go to gigs with etc. My other friends actually listen to Celine Dion, mariah Carey and s Club 7. AAAARRRGGGHHH! But we get on as long as nobody puts a CD on when we're all in the room.

oh yes, my friends are all Blur fans. This is my house. It's slightly alarming that I get letters which don't have my address on them - just Damon Albarn, London - and they get to me!

One of my friends likes "Girls & Boys" but that's as far as it goes. I try to get them to like "my" music but they don't seem to listen. Wait, they do like one of my bands. The Strokes! Who doesn't like the Strokes?!!!

Personally I dont like them. I think they are just another average R'n'R band. I have got their album and I have listened to it exactly twice. My best mate saw them live and said they were nothing spectacular.

I've always been hideously noisy onstage - that's where I get my own back.

Emotion isn't about standing on mountains going, "I'VE GOT A BROKEN HEART!' If you're going to sing about your heart, you might as well rhyme it with fart, as far as I'm concerned.

When you're on stage it's such a rush when everything's going properly. Like we played at Brixton one day before Christmas and for me it was just like a big orgasm all the way trough the show. So how can you sit still through that? You'd just explode, wouldn't you?

By Thom on Friday, March 29, 2002 - 12:47 am:

It's a fine line between writing something with genuine emotional impact and turning into little idiots feeling sorry for ourselves and playing stadium rock.

ok ok ok... when the hell did Coping get taken over by somebody with a big book of quotes?

By Lucky on Friday, March 29, 2002 - 03:42 pm:

Blame the Easter holidays.

By Nat on Friday, March 29, 2002 - 09:58 pm:

Sometimes it feels like none of my friends like blur ... though there are one or two I could rustle up in times of need. The hardest part is, is there anyone who likes (and is crazy for) at least FIVE of the same bands (as I)? That's pushing ... over and past a cliff.

Enjoy your tastes! (and hopefully make sense when expressing them ... shit)
