I heard weezer and Damon have done a song called We Have a Technical (problem?), hunted down and listened to a recording of it.. And that's Albarne singing, allright.. But is it really weezer?

Ok.. I figured out all by myself, it wans't weezer, but ex-member Matt Sharp's band, The Rentals.

It's on The Rentals' newest album, as I gather it, but searching for Rentals songs on kazaa should produce it pretty quickly.. I also managed to find a live recording of a Rentals' cover of Tracy Jacks

Might very well be.. Seems like they really like to cooperate with other people.. Especially people from the UK.
I didn't even knew who they were untill today, but I think I'll really check'em out. The few songs I have heard are really good.. Somewhat like Madness, me thinks.

"We Have a Technical" can be found on the Gary Numan tribute album "Random", which also includes artists such as St. Etienne and Jimi Tenor.
The song is Gary Numan's originally, not Damon's.
It's not the most famous Numan song, yet Albarn still chose to make a cover of it with the former Weezer bass player. And if you really listen to the song closely, you might hear Damon mumbling lyrics from "Are Friends Electric?", which is another Numan song. Top songs, these.
