Goldsmiths Here I Come

Coping: Blur general: Goldsmiths Here I Come
By Joe on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 03:49 pm:

Hello Copers. What a day - A level results are out and I got 3 B's, so not enough to get into Cambridge as was the original plan, but joining alumni such as Julian Clary, Brian Molko, Damien Hirst and of course Blur at the wonderful college of Goldsmiths.

Incidentally, did anyone else open their results to be confronted with A A A, only realising that that was just indicating that they were A-levels? I FUCKING KNOW I'VE DONE A-LEVELS! I HAVEN'T WORKED MY ARSE OFF FOR TO YEARS NOT KNOWING WHAT I'VE BEEN DOING! FUCKING CUNTS!

Sorry. Love you all, Joe xx

By Joe on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 04:01 pm:

I did of course mean TWO years, not TO. Perhaps I was never Cambridge material.

By Chris on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 08:05 pm:

Hang on Joe, could have sworn you were dissin' Goldies last year! Oh well, never mind, see you there! (although obviously I won't recognise you)

By Chris on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 08:08 pm:

And you probably weren't Cambridge material, not quite the inbred Daddy-gave-me-this-land type, I suspect?

By Chris on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 08:11 pm:

Out of interest, what will you be studying?

By the real Chris on Thursday, August 16, 2001 - 10:19 pm:

oh lay off and quit bitching. you're always slagging us. Just lay off and give everyone a break.

By Chris on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 08:42 pm:

Why don't you just stop posting on here?! You're a waste of space!

By indigo on Friday, August 17, 2001 - 09:07 pm:

ah, well done joe! I got my AS levels (what a waste of fucking time!) which were aaab, and i've gotta pick my unis and apply really soon... spookily, my list is Cambridge and Goldsmiths too. Did Molko go there too? I didnt know that...

By Nittaya on Saturday, August 18, 2001 - 07:21 am:

hm, do i sense a bit of influenced swaying? ...
congrats to all of you, but i've still got another two years ...

By Kagie on Sunday, August 19, 2001 - 12:12 pm:

I pissed around @ Goldsmiths campus a couple of years ago you know. Nice place I must admit. Pretty buildings. Fuckarsed around with some of the students who I knew. Well I didnt actually know them but my partner did. Fucking bunch of nuggets the lot of them! Always up for a laugh. Nice place. I'd go there if I wasnt thick as shit and plastered about 95% of the time. J/K I've got too much other shite on my hands right now. 2001 is a busy year for this yangster.

By Lucky on Monday, August 20, 2001 - 08:44 am:

Och aye nice one, Joe. Am I glad I'm still doing my GCSE's...

By Chris on Monday, August 20, 2001 - 11:32 pm:

Not only did Molko go to go Goldmiths, he also had a panic attack in nearby Deptford High Street. Wuss.

By Trumpeter on Tuesday, August 21, 2001 - 12:45 am:

I want to see pix of all the Chris's standing in unison. Or at least, pix of all the Chris's lined up in unison. What'doyasay, Chris (which ever one you are) ?

By indigo on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 - 04:53 pm:

hey, on the random Uni thing.... I just got *rejected* from Cambridge, so Joe's in good company (haha). However, I have got offers from Warwick, York and Nottingham, and I'm having an interview at Courtaulds (part of the Uni of London, as is Goldsmiths) next Wednesday.

By Rob on Wednesday, January 30, 2002 - 06:17 pm:

Go to York.

By indigo on Thursday, January 31, 2002 - 05:29 pm:

Weeelll.... I'm sort of heading towards Warwick as my first choice, because you spend 10 weeks on a campus in Venice, and then York or (fingers crossed) Courtauld's as my second, as they both look good too. What's special about York? - this isn't sarcasm, I haven't been there and i really want to know!

By Chris on Thursday, January 31, 2002 - 09:40 pm:

Warwick's nice isn't it? Fantastic campus for one thing, plus it's near Stratford-on-Avon. And Coventry, but nobody said life was perfect.

York's a collegiate institution.

Oooh i went to an open day and fell in love with Warwick - largest students union in Europe! There's like 16 bars on campus or something ridiculous!

So is anyone on Coping at uni in England, and what do they think of it?

By St*Rsh*PeD on Friday, February 1, 2002 - 07:42 pm:

I'm at uni in Scotland - pretty rocking!

Well, this feels strange. I have been gone from this board for so long (my computer decided to run away with the printer and go on a stormy romantic holiday. Don't worry - I split the buggers up and he's back to working) Anyhoo, how is everyone? Still sitting around saying "where are those Blur buggers?"

Anyway, the only problem I have with Student Unions is the majority of poncy buggers that go there - can't enjoy the wonder that is Pj and Duncan when some guy with a flourescent shirt is breathing down your neck, can you?

By Cam on Friday, February 1, 2002 - 09:58 pm:

Hey there Starshaped,

which Uni are you going to in Scotland?
I'm going to Glasgow Caledonian, so I was just wondering...
