Even though only about 6 people seem to visit Coping these days & thus you're writing to a largely non~existent audience, here's a space for any of that iddy~biddy posse to pour out their woes before roughly 12 sets of eyes.
I'm depressed. Actually, it's more stress & general worry about a lot of things than actual depression. Perhaps it's my Karma, though if ever I have offended &/or wronged anyone, in any way, hopefully I am atoning a little now. Coz I feel rather upset.
Sorry if this seems like an attempt at gaining sympathy/attention. It isn't. I just HAD to say it, even if no one cares.

Cheer up madam , as my ol' Ma .. always used to tell me .... *Always look on the bright side of life* My ma couldn't whistle but always made a brave attempt that always made me laugh because she thought was an expert Whistler. I guess it's an old cliche but life is really to short to be sad. I've been told by more than you Miss Ana that because I always try to be in a good mood its annoying, well maybes I am but I'm happy being so.
It'll be my downfall , I have got big problems I just don't ket them worry me, which is probably how I 've let myself get into incredible debts but what the hell , it is just money after all. Ana your a beautiful girl with more than your fair share of intelligence and I love you very much. Some people do have good reason to be genuinley sad unfortunatly , so I know how lucky I am. Please cheer up Miss Ana, in time things will be well and you'll be smiling the ravishing smile again to light up Perth. I miss you ... take care

ANNNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

ANNNNNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Alas we most go to out next victim on our journey to rid the planet of frowns ..... farewell ...
Anyone know Mr coxon's address please?

Well I never? The famous Bert Himself and his disciples , you'see Ana .. your troubles never go unheard, I'm gonna try and make myself sad now so maybe Bert and even just 20 folk at least will sing to me! Quite a catchy tune though there ... I'll be humming it all night at work

Dear me, Butter~Toy. Where's *ANGIE!* when you fucking well need her? (hehe!!!!11)
By Paige on Friday, August 3, 2001 - 10:13 pm: |
There is such a thing as "situationaly depressed" Ana. Could be your problem. Could also merely be a chemical imbalance. At any rate, I suggest you go see a doc right away and see what they say.
Chances are you're having psycho-somatic reactions too that you're probably not acutely aware of that are only enhancing whatever it is thats ailing you. I suggest you make an appointment with a physician and see what they say. They might put you on something and then point you in the direction of a good psychologist.
Feel better.

Yeah, don't let your general life get you down, cos it's the only one you have.
I spent the last couple of days pretty upset cos a friend of mine died on a World Challenge expedition to Vietnam. I didn't know her very well, and I sort of felt guilty about being so upset about it. It's been so weird, like a dream, seeing her photo on the news, and knowing that when i go back to school, she won't be there any more. I think I'm telling you this because I just wanted to tell someone, and all my friends that knew her are on holiday.

Do you know why you are depressed or is it just out of the blue spontanious depression?
If its for no reason then you can join the rest of the teenage/young adult population, and rememeber that by turning your stereo on really loud your problems will go away (for a while)...i think shifty's advice is very good and i wish i could be that optimistic without taking drugs ;)

Me too, Bra~Strap!
All the same, sadness in general can be a conduit for creativity & "sorrow makes for sincerity. The little sincerity there is in this world belongs to those who've known sorrow. Show me a person who hasn't known sorrow, & I'll show you a person who's ~ superficial!"
A free trip to BananaWorld for the person who can name that quote.

By Scamp on Monday, September 3, 2001 - 07:39 am: |
I agree. On the topic of Communism, as a friend of mine observed, maybe BC could do with a little inbibing of Communism too. Example: why does everyone have to display their IP numbers except for the *mods*? Not that I see any advantage or disadavantage to that, but it's as though 'All people are equal, but some people are more equal than others'.
By Cam on Monday, September 3, 2001 - 03:16 pm: |
Yeah, I agree there, Scampervan, but the problem is that most of the peeps chatting on here are "blind Clovers"...

Cam, have you seen the 1962 version of "Lolita"? I just wondered if that's where you got the Cha Cha Cha motif from, since it's something I often say too, my inspiration being the intonation Lolita uses in the film. In one scene, as she gazes sarcastically at her stepfather, Lolita sniggers: "Cha cha cha."
For just one word repeated three times, the girl who plays Lolita makes it a rather memorable scene.
Skroo, you're a moderator too, so get back into your parka jacket (I'm slow ~ only just got that pun) & wear it with the pride which comes with privilege!

I had a strange dream last night that my manager at work was sacked and replaced by Damon Albarn. As he left the office he stopped to tell me that "in future, if you've got any questions, you should speak to Mr. Albarn". Then Damon walked past my desk and said (in a gruff voice, like when he's being interviewed on TV, staring down at the cigarette hanging out of his mouth) "yeah, say it to me". He then scowled at me and added "but not on Thursdays, because I'm only here part-time".
That makes me wonder what kind of a boss he'd make. Would he be the kind of bloke that lets everyone go at half-three and basically lets people get on with things, or the overbearing sort that stands over you when you're working, calls your house if you stay off sick, and doesn't let you put stickers on your PC?

I had a dream I was in the local newsagent's, Woodrow's, where I went to the counter with a Yorkie, and the kid at the counter told me the price, before I'd bought my other stuff. I also wanted a can of Coke. Not any Coke, but one of the Super cans they used to sell. again, he totted it up, only I also wanted a Sun, so I had to get that when he asked for the money again.
I also had a dream that I was walking up the road next to Woodrow's, at which point I found out I'd received an e-mail from the Italian funster, Marco, from London, who myself and my friends Neil and Marion stayed with for a time, and he wanted to meet up. Which I was excited about, cos he was a likeable chap.

Alas no, I'm merely a Coping Mod, totally unconnected to your more downmarket Blurchat Mods. I'm more of an Ace Face, if you will.
Hahah only kidding. No, I'm not a Blurchat Mod, so I'm afraid any groans about IP numbers and the likes don't actually land on my desk.
