Ok. I am from the US. Ohio to be exact. I realize Blur's biggest fan base isn't in midwest america...but are they EVER going to come within 100 miles of me? (That's 160 kilometers.. ). I really want to see them but they never seem to tour in the US. Fooking shite.
By Dave Hedgehog on Wednesday, September 6, 2000 - 06:45 pm: |
They will

TALKING OF YANKS!
IF I WAS VOTED IN FOR PRIME MINISTER MY FIRST MOVE WOULD BE TO BOMB THE U.S.A THEN BOMB RUSSIA AND CARRY ON UNTIL THE ONLY PLACE LEFT WAS MY COUNCIL FLAT IN MANCHESTER!
By Iina on Friday, September 8, 2000 - 08:50 pm: |
well i'd like to know will blur ever come to finland cos i missed their gig in provinssirock last year. fuck.
By indigo on Saturday, September 9, 2000 - 10:49 am: |
Seeing as they seem to never even want to tour the UK again, it's unlikely.
although they might, who knows?
OK, this schizophrenic comment is due to the fact that I am pissed off they are doing no concerts this year, only Meltdown (and it was impossible to get tickets). But I want them too so much! It's a fact that no matter how crap the new single is, I would pay anything to see them!
By Someone who went to Meltdown on Saturday, September 9, 2000 - 06:45 pm: |
You would have found it quite easy to get tickets at Meltdown despite the fact they sold out quickly due to the amount of touts outside the Royal Festival Hall.
By toxic dog on Thursday, September 21, 2000 - 05:35 am: |
most people in the U.S don't know of, dislike, or don't care about blur, except for the coasts, and I couldn't imagine it everchanging. Only thing they know of and like is song 2, which isn't all that bad of a song either.
By Ian on Thursday, September 21, 2000 - 06:57 pm: |
Yeah, but a survey in 1997 revealed that 30% of all Americans thought rabbits laid eggs.
By tousled on Friday, September 22, 2000 - 12:39 am: |
Hee hee, that's funny, Ian. I'm American, and my flatmate has rabbits. They definitely don't lay eggs. They lay lots and lots of baby rabbits, which we weren't at all expecting... As for blur coming to the states, that would be so super fantastic, but I'm not holding my breath. I can only hope that maybe radiohead will pop over once kid a has been released.

AMERICA DOESNT DESERVE BLUR
THEY CAN KEEP THEIR BRITNEY SPEARS, BASKETBALL, BASEBALL, AMERICAN FOOTBALL, BURGERS, AEROSMITH, STOOPING CITCOMS, SURFING ETC.
LETS JUST KEEP THINGS NORMAL AND NATIVE! PLEASE?!
By th on Friday, September 22, 2000 - 10:52 pm: |
surfing was actually a british sport first. Collonials returning from australia and the pacific island picked it up from natives. Ok, it wasn't originally british, but it was british before it was american. Ad australian before british.
Anyway, I surf.

Yea, well take a look at your singles chart and see what kind of shit *your* country is putting out!

You just don't quit do you. I haven't been back here for about a year and it's a damn shame to come back here and find that there's still someone arguing about America. Would you just move on and deal with the fact that there are Blur fans in the U.S.. Grow the fuck up and open your eyes. It's no mystery so many people just gave up on this site.

As usual. Self righteous Yanks taking summit too seriously. I bet you voted for Bush.
By Chris on Sunday, December 17, 2000 - 02:09 pm: |
Hello everyone, I'm back, and I just want to say what a shame it is that Coping has declined so much. But on the other hand it's nice to see a few of the old guard (Ian, Eddy etc) still around.
By Jen AKA Foxy Lady on Sunday, December 17, 2000 - 04:58 pm: |
yeah I agree this place was so much heaps cooler when the older Coping gang were here.*sigh* I really miss them. Now there's mostly only new people who are kind of annoying. But if ya still email me I always reply. well usually when I'm not 2 busy *LOL*
comeon y'all, get together and make Coping rock again. bring back the old guard!!!!!!!1

Before you talk anymore why don't you make a little trip over here and get a dose of reality. You'll realize it's not what it seems like on T.V. or wherever you're getting these ideas of yours. I could easily hate you like you have been taught to hate me, but I know better. Come to the District of Colombia. You'll probably like it here and decide to travel to all the other places you've always wondered about. I traveled all over the U.K. and that doesnt just mean the tourist attractions. I really experienced life there. I refused to just believe everything I saw on television and in the papers. I guess it's obvious I've come to the point of madness with too many numb fucks just running their mouths about something they heard or saw. By the way, I voted for Gore. Does that really matter? Does anything matter in this country if anything that happens here just ignites your anger anyways? If you still want to argue about a country you have never visited you can go ahead ,but I'll be sure to block you out just like you're blocking out the reality over here. I've met plenty of incredible men and women from your country and know there are plenty here. Just give them a chance. I'd like to actually speak with the next person who chooses to be so biased. Meet me in the chat.

As I said, self righteous Yanks taking summit too seriously. Nail in the coffin really.

Hello Chris, how's it? Not seen thee in aaaaaaaages.
And I resent being called annoying by someone who writes a message demanding that everyone email her, posts it twice in a row, and then fails to leave her address. Pick on someone yer own size, Foxy...

Lucky, you're still here!
I've been at university for the last three months with irregular access to the internet, what have you been up to?
By Chris on Thursday, December 21, 2000 - 06:33 pm: |
And can I point out that Blur's b-sides are amazingly good?
By The Officer on Friday, December 22, 2000 - 08:33 am: |
Yes, you can.
By Lucky on Friday, December 22, 2000 - 05:45 pm: |
I've been chased by giant sprinklers and almost had my head torn off by the resident BFG (Big Freakin' Goon). And he's pretty freakin' big.
Young and Lovely should've been a single. And Tame. And Magpie.
By GERTRUDE on Saturday, December 23, 2000 - 01:17 pm: |
...AND DANCEHALL TOO. DEFINITELY SHOULD'VE BEEN A SINGLE.
By Chris on Saturday, December 23, 2000 - 01:47 pm: |
Let's face it, most of the b-sides are deserving of single status, even 'One Born Every Minute'.
By GERTRUDE on Saturday, December 23, 2000 - 01:51 pm: |
NO, NOT ONE BORN EVERY MINUTE.
By Chris on Saturday, December 23, 2000 - 05:23 pm: |
Look dear, if Westlife can get to Number One by doing nothing more than sitting on stools and miming for three minutes, anything is possible.
By GERTRUDE on Monday, December 25, 2000 - 07:58 am: |
LOOK... DONT CALL ME DEAR OK CHRIS? GOOD.

im sick of all you fuckin limies with your elitest adtitudes dont forget your country spawned spice girls and take that and shove it up your arse besides there would be no blur if america hadn't invented rock and roll true britney spears, limp bizkit, and eminem come from u.s. but shit is universal. i'm sorry blur isn't popular here but it's not my fault, i buy their fucking albums you cunts

By nat on Sunday, June 10, 2001 - 12:06 am: |
no, no, it tried, but it couldn't fit (you see, i've got a mattress under there...) so instead it just lives in my walk-in closet... (but it can only be seen as a reflection in the mirror - which is why i had to rearrange the furniture in my room)
