Oh and this morning my friend Finn hit a pack of butter with a cunting stick and it hit some passing goths and covered them they pretended not to care but they looked mightily angry
By Chris on Monday, August 28, 2000 - 07:07 pm: |
Yes, I really enjoyed Pulp and Idlewild too. Laughing at Slipknot and their fans (why do they always look so bloody miserable?) was fun, as was Graham Coxon's amazing if short set. It was just a shame that it was dificult to hear him, hence the cries of "speak up Graham!" from some quarters. Did anyone see Clinic? Expect big things from them in years to come. My biggest surprise was how much I enjoyed Asian Dub Foundation, it seems a band can be political and fun without sounding too preachy. Less pleasant were: the weather on Saturday, the state of the portaloos and the complete incompetence of the ladies and gentlemen who seemed to be in charge of crowd control - they took great pride in their jackets labelled "specialised security" (specialised in what?!) but spent most of their time eating burgers. Oh, and Reading is a nice town.
Ah, it's good to be back!
By tam on Monday, August 28, 2000 - 09:08 pm: |
i wanna go!!!!
By Lucky on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 - 09:04 am: |

By tam on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 - 02:40 pm: |
yes i wanna come with wow ur like on now! aha
By Joe on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 - 07:37 pm: |
I'll come. I'll make my list now. actually no because I'm cross. Pulp were good. Beck was good. Ian says he had fun but he actually looked pretty miserable a lot of the time. But Stav getting his nipple pierced was a great moment...everyone had to smile for that.
By tam on Tuesday, August 29, 2000 - 10:35 pm: |
aha...why that...he shoulda gotten his eyebrow or below the lip done man!!!!!!!!!!!
By Lucky on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - 09:46 am: |
Everyone but Stav, I reckon. (cringe) Eurrghh. Nipple-piercing's such a horrible thought...
By Eddy on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - 02:09 pm: |
Next year at Reading me and Stav are gonna get bollock piercings.
By Joe on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - 07:03 pm: |
He'll probably be up for it. It was such a shock...at first it was like yeah right, bollocks. Then he drank a lot and signed the forms........then there was blood. Hee hee. When Ian gets the photo's back we'll scan em on and everyone can see it...HAHAHA!
By Ian on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - 09:15 pm: |
Accurate representation of Stavros's piercing sign-up form
Name- Jeo Wlikins
D.o.b- 31/7/89
...I've just realised recreating what he wrote is a BAD idea, cos then I'll have to write his address down and I don't think he'd like that much. Never mind. The fact he claimed he was born in 1989 is comedy enough.
And Joe- please stop trying to undermine me in all these childish ways when I clearly had the time of my life- it doesn't fucking wash, you know.
A bit like you! Nahhh-hah!
By Ian on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - 09:17 pm: |
Heee...just a joke.
Party, my house, Saturday. But what theme?
By tam on Wednesday, August 30, 2000 - 11:03 pm: |

By Lucky on Thursday, August 31, 2000 - 09:39 am: |
(through clenched teeth)
You're all doing this on purpose... It's a conspiracy, I know it is...
Gawd, how can you people even think about that stuff?? Eeeee, needles... I'm getting outta here...
By tam on Thursday, August 31, 2000 - 02:36 pm: |

And now I'll have nightmares for weeks...
By Ian on Thursday, August 31, 2000 - 11:22 pm: |
Dick pierced- no sex for a year.
Does this make any difference to your life Eddy? If not gopher it!
By the way, today I conducted a survey on who was arguably the most miserable at Reading. Mass consensus (As in everyone) voted for Joey boy. I mean this is the person who nearly blubbed his eyes out cos he got a bit of apple pie up his nose, forchristsakes.
By This is to cheer Joe up- everybody sing along on Thursday, August 31, 2000 - 11:40 pm: |
It's been a funny
Kind of day
Sian Lloyd says
The sun will come and play
Emotive in transit
We'll be together til the end
We'll be together for now and ever
Oh! Oh! Oh! Ho! Ho!
By tam on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 02:38 am: |
man no one will answer my question!
By Lucky on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 09:02 am: |
Sorry Tam, I was too grossed out by Eddy's postie that time. So, none of them. Get your nose pierced instead.
Buuut if I had to choose from those three I'd say... below the lip, yeah.
By sarah on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 11:39 am: |
Tam, don't get anything pierced. Some discreet gold earrings are always the best option, my dear.
By Eddy on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 02:37 pm: |
Leave Joe alone. I love the man.
Yeah sorry Lucky, I'm sober now. I hadn't been let loose on Coping drunk in ages, so yeah....
Anyways, I prefer Silver to Gold.
By tam on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 04:29 pm: |
alrite thanks lucky!!!!
i like ur choice!!!!!
silvers much better yes
By Joe on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 07:40 pm: |
That apple was fucking painful. And I wasn't the one which tried to ditch his friends every other minute, re: daphne and celeste, sfa...
...I must admit I like you a lot less at the moment...ever since meltdown we've not been particularly good friends...but I guess that's that.
By Joe on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 09:14 pm: |
I'm sorry...I'm just not particularly happy at the moment. I'm sorry...jeez. Oh ggrR! I'm all stressed and sad and radioheadlike......
By Joe on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 09:17 pm: |
Oh dear. I just feel all run down....women problems.
By tam on Friday, September 1, 2000 - 09:40 pm: |
awwww!!!!!!!
sorry ta hear that...joe which piercing should i get?
awww i feel so bad for ya sorta!!!!!
geez good luck!
By Lucky on Saturday, September 2, 2000 - 08:34 am: |
No worries, Eddy, I just scroll down really fast now.
Aw, Joe, I wish there was something more people could do for other people over the Net when they feel bad, short of sending them an ecard that'll probably make them feel much worse... Don't worry, it'll pass.
By Joe on Saturday, September 2, 2000 - 11:58 am: |
Tam: below the lip is a must, get a spike. I've had a haircut and feel much better. It's amazing how a haircut improves your state of mind.
By Ian on Saturday, September 2, 2000 - 12:16 pm: |
Ok I swear this'll be the end of it but I think I deserve a fair trial.
I left at SFA cos I needed a piss. Real bad. So bad, in fact, I (*sob*) I...I...had to use the ladies!!!
I left at Daphne and Celeste cos we clearly weren't going to see them and I really didn't want to see Blink 182. I assumed we were meeting back at the tents for Slipknot.
But to assume I was miserable was way off the mark, that's all. Everyone is entitled to have bad patches- In July I felt so stressed I almost couldn't get out of bed in the morning. But a good friendship should not be broken on account of little things like these, and I'm sure in time things will be back to normal before you can say "3 bottles of expired Hooch".
Regardless of the two month period of swiping, swearing and ermm...swaggering (?) I still love you man.
By tam on Saturday, September 2, 2000 - 09:04 pm: |
cooool joe! u mean that? u like piercings below the lip and that??
god this is my last day at coping...sob...
maybe i'll make my way on tomorrow before i leave!
By Lucky on Sunday, September 3, 2000 - 09:21 am: |
Oh dear. Oh man. Oh man, oh dear...
It's been real, Tam, good luck! Maybe that spike you're getting should have the word 'Coping' engraved on it in reeeaaal teeny letters, even though nobody would be able to see it, you'd still know it was there thus creating a comforting feeling below your lip. What am I saying? You're gonna poke a hole in your head! EE!
Anyway, have fun. I promise to miss you much. ;)
By sarah on Sunday, September 3, 2000 - 11:08 am: |
silver's obviously better than gold. don't you people understand sarcasm??
sorry, i just thought if everyone else is going to be moody i might as well join in.
By Eddy on Sunday, September 3, 2000 - 02:17 pm: |
Pretty shit sarcasm.
By tam on Sunday, September 3, 2000 - 03:10 pm: |

By Lucky on Monday, September 4, 2000 - 08:11 am: |

Sniff.
By Joe on Monday, September 4, 2000 - 10:07 pm: |

By sarah on Tuesday, September 5, 2000 - 06:25 pm: |

By sarah on Tuesday, September 5, 2000 - 06:33 pm: |

No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Tam is not allowed to leave Coping. Mind you I left but that didn't count. I was old and washed out. Tam had the hopes of a generation resting on her. Mind you the generation were quite worried about where she was going with those hopes but still.
Hello to Joe, Ian, Sarah and Lucky. Many apologies for buggering off without a word but I am just too busy being grown up these days.
By Lucky on Monday, September 11, 2000 - 12:58 pm: |
