Coping: Blur general: Favourite Quote on This Here Board?
By Lucky on Friday, March 23, 2001 - 08:33 am:

I reckon mine would be "A cheese". And the rest that followed that of course: "Oh a cheese! A cheese! You've said enough. Go home."

By Lucky on Saturday, March 24, 2001 - 12:19 pm:

This is going well. Tuh, who cares.

By Thomas Williams on Sunday, March 25, 2001 - 12:43 pm:

By The Occifer on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 - 03:24 pm:

My favourite quote on this here board would be:
"err...i'm sure it's ironic." (Ian, referring to Music Is My Radar, apparently after his first listen.)

By nat on Tuesday, March 27, 2001 - 10:22 pm:

waaaaaaahhhh.... i miss ian. sigh. i hope he's well.

By Ian on Friday, March 30, 2001 - 06:29 pm:

Tis I! Thanks very much Nat, I'm doing very well, nice to see people voting so many of my old quotes as the best. GO to my new thread for a new classic- Monkeys in a speedboat!
PS- My fave quote was Nats, just then.

By nathallie on Friday, March 30, 2001 - 09:24 pm:

By Ian on Saturday, March 31, 2001 - 10:01 am:

Unfortunately F03 have been KICKED OFF Bizland. But we'll be back...possibly by the 15th...on FO3's second birthday

By Lucky on Saturday, March 31, 2001 - 12:47 pm:

By tam on Saturday, March 31, 2001 - 10:25 pm:

By Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman on Sunday, April 1, 2001 - 08:39 am:

More Kisses!

Where the kisses go, the Spider shall follow.

By Wateva on Sunday, April 1, 2001 - 03:15 pm:

just sees how much we know of each other.

By nat on Sunday, April 1, 2001 - 08:25 pm:

alright, staying on topic, i just found this little bit, and it's great... from the "best line to get one over a hip-hop fan" or something or other (and i hate to jump on the bandwagon, but you can figure out who the star is):

By ChrisG on Monday, October 23, 2000 - 03:32 pm:

most of those albums are alright, I admit, but only Public Enemy and De La Soul are worth listening to.
It takes a nation of millions to hold us back is the best album of all time.

By Ian on Thursday, October 26, 2000 - 02:20 pm:

It certainly is, if you pronounce it "Modern Life is Rubbish".

By sophy on Monday, October 30, 2000 - 04:18 pm:

modern life is rubbish isn't even in the top 3 best blur albums, so how that can be the case I really don't know.

By Ian on Wednesday, November 1, 2000 - 11:41 pm:

Oh go and eat poo you silly girl

By indigo on Thursday, November 2, 2000 - 05:48 pm:

MLIR is definitely the best Blur album. Which 3 do you think are better?

By Ian on Thursday, November 2, 2000 - 06:35 pm:

Indigo, you have backed me up through thick and thin over the past few months- well done. I officially consider you as a friend.

By nathallie on Sunday, April 1, 2001 - 08:31 pm:

aw, tammi, i'm sorry... ocad, eh? (what's the ad stand for, & where is it?) either way, i hope you had a great 1st year, & SMILE, 'cos it's almost over, YEAH! (same that most of fave quotes are long gone from the mem bank)

mr. spiderman, if the kisses were to stay, would you with them?

i now have to go make cutouts of paper characters for my "impulso-meter" (english prez., hip hip hurrah and a bullet to the head)

love, nat.

By Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman on Sunday, April 1, 2001 - 09:26 pm:

Let's see natski, I've evaded prison sentences for Grand Larceny, petty theft, breaking and entering, possesion of a deadly weapon (kill one person with a rubber chicken and they never forgive you), extortion, blackmail, jaywalking. . . Why not ad corrupting a minor to the list?

By tam on Sunday, April 1, 2001 - 10:02 pm:

stands for ontario college of art and design and its like a 5 minute walk from much music :)

By stereopop on Monday, April 2, 2001 - 01:48 am:

Spidey, you forgot public idecency (sp?) in front of women and minors ...

By Bree on Monday, April 2, 2001 - 03:03 am:

Marie said you're a prostitute.

By WaTeVa on Monday, April 2, 2001 - 03:11 am:

Who was a prostitute?

By Friendly Neighbourhood Spiderman on Monday, April 2, 2001 - 12:26 pm:

There was nothing indecent about it. It was very artistic.

Prude.

By nittaya/nathallie/nat on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 - 08:37 pm:

minor, minor what? (i thought you weren't american... either way, here's the canadian run-down: legal drinking age: 19 most provinces, 18 Quebec; age of heterosexual sexual consent: 14; " " homosexual ": 18, driving: G-1 at 16, in ontario...)

eh mandy, i think it's "indecency"

and sigh, i have no friends who are willing to accompany me to placebo, and i'm getting lazy - i'll probably wait until all the tickets are sold out before i decide to buy for sure....

By nathallie on Tuesday, April 3, 2001 - 08:42 pm:

corruption, eh? - i guess that's standing proof of my innocence (and canadianess).... minor, minor what? (i thought you weren't american... either way, here's the canadian run-down: legal drinking age: 19 most provinces, 18 Quebec; age of heterosexual sexual consent: 14; " " homosexual ": 18, driving: G-1 at 16, in ontario...).

oi mandy, i think it's "indecency" (so you got it, just made a 'typo', and my god that's such an ugly word...)

*sigh, i have no friends who are willing to accompany me to placebo, and i'm getting lazy - i'll probably wait until all the tickets are sold out before i decide to buy for sure....

By TobyZ on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 03:45 am:

Nat, me and a bud are seeing Placebo in Minneapolis. If you wanna drive over and see it, I'll tell him I lost his ticket and we can go : )

And why diff. ages for for hetero and homo? Doesn't seem to make alot of sense.

By indigo on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 03:17 pm:

placebo! oooooh!

Most age related laws don't make a lot of sense. For those non-Brits around (which seems to be almost everybody at the moment!):

16: smoking, hetero+homosexual relationships
17: driving a car
18: drinking, voting

homosexual sex age of consent used to be 18 but they changed it last year, and they're going to put the age of driving up to 18 in a few years. They may also be lowering the age of voting to 16. It's all madness!
Is the age of consent really 14 in Canada? I thought it was higher. Isn't it 21 in some US state? And di u know that its 12 in Holland?

By TobyZ on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 09:03 pm:

I think in Alabama the age for sexual contact is 21, unless they're a blood relative. Then it's something like 3.

By natki on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 10:24 pm:

yeah, tobyZ, i think they're thinking of changing it to the same as wherever indigo is (england?). i remember a discussion a few years back about making the law for both at 16.

yeah, it's 14 in Canada. but see above: may change to 16, and there's been talk of changing driving from 16 to 18. and voting at 16? i'm not sure, i don't know many kids who know much about politics.

By nat again on Wednesday, April 4, 2001 - 10:26 pm:

aw, toby, thanks for the offer! but i haven't my G yet, and i doubt my mum will drive me all the way to minneapolis. (hm, how far is that from toronto?)

but have a great day, all you lovely people!

By TobyZ on Thursday, April 5, 2001 - 12:20 pm:

The distance depends on if you go around Lake Michigan or straight across it.

By nathalllie on Sunday, May 6, 2001 - 02:30 am:

okay, i so i went to see placebo and it was absolutely amazing - probably tied for first place with one or two other shows. it's a week later, and i'm still on a concert high...

mmmmmm. wow. beautiful images...

have a great day, whoever happens to come back and read this!
love, nat.

By Bea on Monday, May 7, 2001 - 08:43 am:

Nat, I absolutely love them, and saw them last March. Don't worry about 'it's been a week and I'm still on concert high', for me it's been 1 month and I still shiver when I remember the gig

Placebo forever, yay! :)

By indigo on Monday, May 7, 2001 - 03:07 pm:

oh god I'm so jealous! I am missing all the summer festivals with placebo at (I am from England btw) and I want to see them so much!!

By Bea on Monday, May 7, 2001 - 08:51 pm:

I hate all black, asian, gay, mentally handicapped, jewish and ginger haired people!!!
Buzz buzz

By ZACH+----------------- on Monday, May 7, 2001 - 08:52 pm:
