worth an ask.
By Ian on Friday, August 4, 2000 - 06:11 pm: |
No I don't have dreads. I think its fair to say none of us have, unless Joe took extreme steps whilst on holiday. Way to waste a topic, Tam.
Anyone have a worthwhile question?
By Ian on Friday, August 4, 2000 - 06:15 pm: |
And if there are any Copers who have whiteboy dreads- seek help now. You don't wanna look like Tossloader bloke.
By Ian on Saturday, August 5, 2000 - 02:27 pm: |
Ps- I hope you are all eagerly anticipating the great one's arrival- I know I can't wait to tell him about Sir Redgely's antics recently...
By Eddy on Saturday, August 5, 2000 - 02:48 pm: |
Dreads are for very skunty people who don't wash and listen to fucking awful ska shite. Seek help peeps with dreads, and have a wash you dirty herb smoking tossers.

Are you referring to me as the great one now? YES HI EVERYONE I'M BACK!!!! PHEW!
Quite a nice comeback. I'm behind with all of your conversations, you don't get a two week view and I can't be bothered to read it all anyway.
Italy is:
A. Hot
B. Full of religion
C. Full of nice buildings just lying about (you don't get this anywhere else)
D. Cheap (lemon grappa - £3 a bottle - and it's for Ian and Stav!, wine - from about a quid up, but it's all quite nice, pizza - at most about three quid, and it's lushus)
E. Crap at imitating food from other countries (i.e. croissants, they taste of lemon and burnt)
F. Confusing. All those italian words you thought you knew are wrong: Pasta means cakes and bread, pepperoni are red peppers, not all pizzas have tomatoes on them (this is not as bad as it sounds).
G. Alright for a bit but it's nice to be home.

Don't leave ya silly buggah. Who's gonna go on about Incubus then? That's a rare thing Coping's got... And I mean really rare.
Welcome back, Joe. Do we start calling you Joey now? Or do you prefer not to have any resemblence whatsoever to a baby kangaroo?
No I do not have dreadlocks.
By Eddy on Sunday, August 6, 2000 - 01:30 pm: |
Tam we all (and in the case of me and Ian, would like to) love you.

Why? Shout yourself hoarse, matey (as well as one can on the Internet) and EXPRESS yourself! That's what Coping's all about innit?
...
INNIT?? Well it's certainly not about Blur...
By tam on Monday, August 7, 2000 - 05:50 am: |

Aye, Joe... (reads longingly at the post). I didn't like the pizza, it was paper-thin and oily - but the veggies they put on were cool (zucchini and eggplant, broccoli, etc. - REAL vegetables). The croissants were crap. Except the ones with chocolate inside. But anything with chocolate inside is luscious.
Oh Lucky, I'll say something about Incubus (they haven't had mention in a while, have they... good reason). Erm, the lead's quite lush too, except those stupid plastic tee earrings (as in golf tees) he wears. Almost as hideous as those big, thick, plastic, colourful hoop earrings some guys wear (they look cheap. NOT rave chic in any way.).
Okay. 'twas my beef.
Lovely day to all!
~ Nat.

Why hello again nat, I assume you had a fun time... I love real italian wafer thin pizzas, but I discovered the most gorgeous food last time I went to Italy - deep fried courgette (ok, zucchini) slices! mmmmm..... Italian ice cream is gorgeous as well
Also harking back to the earlier bits of this topic, I actually developed some manky looking dreads of my own after I came back from Glastonbury, as the result washing badly braided hair under a tap, just once in 6 days and using washing up liquid as shampoo.
By tam on Monday, July 15, 2002 - 10:36 pm: |

You have dreads Tam? ooh, post a picture! Actually, I just realised I have no idea what you look like anyway. Ah well.
By Sarki on Saturday, July 27, 2002 - 04:24 pm: |
Bob Marley after a severe facial scolding probably.
By ikras on Saturday, July 27, 2002 - 04:25 pm: |
Haha, yeah! Like a cross between that and that member of slipknot with the dreads!
