Ordinary Decent Criminal OST

Once again, Damon Albarn proves that he is "The Maestro" on the Ordinary Decent Criminal OST

Kevin On A Motorbike is a funky romp where Damon showcases his ability to "rock out" vocally with an added touch of "Americana".  The moment I first played it, I couldn't help wondering if that was "our" Alex on the bass!

Bank Job is a lovely concoction of Reggae-meets-Classical, parts of which are reminiscent of the Ravenous soundtrack.  Love the playful vocals! "da Mon" has learned well via Michael Nyman (and Weill/Brecht?).  Ditto that last statement for Chase After Gallery, although a visual does seem necessary for this track.

One Day At A Time is sure to recall Tender lyrically but the tune itself is much more positive and lively.

Robert '3D' del Naja and Damon collaborate well.

Dying Isn't Easy may be a bit overdone in the background vocals department but is still a good ballad.  Damon's voice has certainly blossomed over the past few years and seems much more relaxed and confident.

This CD is worth buying for Damon's tracks alone!
